History
 
In the systems department (2003), a research center on systems and information management was created, in 2012 IBM signed an agreement to create the first exploration center in smart cities, later in 2013 Dr. Víctor Larios participates in the digital creative city project and the following year (2014) IBM signs another agreement for the creation of the innovation center in smart cities where a computer center is donated for that purpose of the same agreement. The rector of cucea allocates a space to create the center in the P module. The name of the research center in systems and information management is changed to an innovation center in smart cities, finally agreements were generated with Intel and Hewlett-Packard ( HP) to consolidate the project.
